Screen enabled smart assistant: It's much easier to adjust the heating and light level with a screen. No, it only takes pictures of a detected activity. But if you subscribe to Nest Aware, you can record footage for up to 30 days at a time.

Is Google Nest listening to me all the time?

Don't worry. The Google Assistant only starts listening when a voice command prompt, either "Hey Google" or "OK Google" is used. If you'd like, you can also turn the camera and mic off with a physical switch at the back.
